As we begin our journey into the history of baseball, just a few housekeeping notes.

First, I would like to thank you for joining us as a member or subscriber to Diamond Echos, whether you signed up for a monthly or annual subscription. Subscribers, please note. Your subscription clock will not start until we begin posting subscription-only content, which is expected to occur in early August. In the meantime, everybody gets to see what we've posted already and enjoy some great baseball stories.

We are approximately 90% complete with the website and are now fine-tuning a few details. As I settle into publishing my first ghost website, you may see me moving around a page or two. If that's the case, I will try to notify you here whenever possible. Shortly, the tag system will be set up, and you'll be able to find article in a short amount of time.

If you encounter a 404 page, it means a link is missing. We may already be working on fixing that link, but if not, drop us a quick note using the contact link to the upper left.

If this is your first time visiting a Ghost Platform blog and website, you'll notice a few things. One, pages load extremely fast. Two, the navigation on this website may seem a little different. It isn't. Links are posted in the navigation area in the upper left-hand corner. Blog post titles appear in the middle column, and when you click on one of those, the entire blog post loads very quickly on the right.

Some of you will see some baseball statistics you're not familiar with. That's OK, no need to worry. In the left-hand section with the navigation, there's a link called Saber Stats. We explain some of the statistics that we used to help compare players of different eras and generations. If, after reading this section, you still have questions, please don't hesitate to contact me, and I will do my best to help clarify the information.
